Language Transcription Rates

General transcription starts at $1 per audio minute and legal transcription at $2. Rates for language transcription are published and not quoted differently for each caller, and the exact total for your material is confirmed in writing before any work begins. The rate is the same whichever time zone picks the work up, so an overnight hand-off costs no more than a daytime one.

Mainly how long the recording runs, how clear the audio is and how many people are speaking, plus how quickly you need it back. Clean source material on a standard deadline sits at the base language transcription rate, while poor audio, several speakers or a same-day deadline costs more. Time zones do not enter the calculation; length, audio quality and deadline do.

By Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Square, wire transfer and checks. Businesses and institutions can be invoiced monthly instead of paying for each language transcription order, which suits departments working to a budget code. Clients abroad pay in US dollars, and the figure is fixed at quoting stage, not at the exchange rate on the day.

Small language transcription orders are taken, and where a minimum charge applies it is shown in the quote before you commit, never on the invoice afterwards. Sending several short files together normally costs less than sending them one at a time. A single short recording is worth sending on its own, because there is always a shift free to take it.

Human work, an independent check against the source, standard formatting and delivery in the format you choose. Revisions are free for 30 days after delivery, so a correction on language transcription does not turn into a second invoice. Each hand-off between time zones is a fresh pair of eyes on the file, not a gap in the chain.

Certification is priced at $25 per page rather than on the basis used for language transcription. The page rate reflects what certification involves: matching the original layout, stamps and seals included, and standing behind the statement attached to it. Certificates are issued in English and prepared before the file is sent, whichever country it is going to.

No. The language transcription quote you approve is the amount you pay: formatting, standard timestamps and basic delivery are all in the rate, and anything that would change the price is raised before the work is done. Out-of-hours handling is in the rate, because the roster already spans the clock.

Yes. Past an agreed size the rate drops, and departments sending language transcription every month can be priced monthly instead of job by job. Recurring terminology is held in a glossary, so it is settled once and applied to every later file. Weekly volume is spread across time zones, which is how a steady flow of recordings is cleared without a backlog.

Yes, and the figure is shown before you commit, never applied afterwards. Rush delivery within 2 to 24 hours is available on language transcription, and if a deadline turns out not to be achievable you are told at quoting stage instead of on the day. Work passes between teams in different time zones, so your files keep moving while your own office is closed.

Upload the material or share a link, and a written language transcription figure comes back within minutes, worked out from the files themselves. It stays valid while you get internal sign-off, and no work starts until you say so. This site is built around teams in several time zones, so files move while your office is closed.
